Autographed Show Exclusive New York Beanie on Auction!
A Show Exclusive New York the NY bear Beanie Baby autographed by Ty Warner is currently on auction on eBay. "As an authorized beanie retailer, I placed my TY order at the New York Toy Fair on Sunday, February 15. I then received the “I Love NY” beanie given only to retailers participating in the show. It will never be available for sale to retailers," explains the seller, known as winnetkail on Ebay. "Ty Warner walked in. Soft spoken and friendly, he signed this beanie for me!"
This beanie is authenticated by Peggy Gallagher Enterprises Inc. and the auction ends on March 7, 2004. The current high bid is $1,125 but the reserve is not met.
"At the conclusion of this auction, a generous donation will be made to Rotary International, one of the top service organizations in the world," notes the Winnetkail. "Measured in dollars given, they grant more educational scholarships than any other organization in the world. They are also dedicated to eradicating POLIO world wide, having donated hundreds of millions of dollars thus far."
Collectors should note that there are two versions of the New York Beanie Baby.

Version 2: New York the bear ( "I [heart symbol)] New York") Available at retail.
